Graham reveals his true intentions in chilling warning to Joe in early Emmerdale ITVX release

The following article contains spoilers from the episode of Emmerdale dated February 9. It hasn’t aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX.
Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) is slowly settling back into life in the Emmerdale village.
In case you’ve been living under a rock and have no idea who Graham is, let me just give you a quick recap.
Graham Foster faked his death back in 2020. For six years, Emmerdale residents (and us!) believed he was murdered by a man called Pierce Harris. At the start of January, during Corriedale, Graham’s return was confirmed.
Towards the end of last month, a flashback episode allowed us to discover Graham was in the village prior to the Corriedale crash taking place. He had heard about April Windsor’s (Amelia Flanagan) ordeal, and wanted to help Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry).
Graham attempted to deal with Ray Walters (Joe Absolom), but wasn’t able to due to Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) arriving. He scarpered, but came back to the Dales a couple of days later.
This was when he decided to go back to Home Farm and reveal his resurrection to Joe and Kim Tate (Claire King). At first, Joe didn’t want anything to do with Graham, too hurt by his betrayal, but he eventually decided to give him another chance.
As well as meeting new residents and interacting with those he already knows, Graham has a lot to catch up on where Joe’s life is concerned. While he’s been left pleasantly surprised at Joe finding love with Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) and getting to know her children, Graham hasn’t learnt too much about the meddling Joe’s been up to.
He’s a Tate, so he’s obviously always up to something.

That all changed in today’s episode, as Graham spotted Joe having a conversation with Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley).
Last year, Kim told Joe about her plan to buy all of the land that surrounds Home Farm. He was tasked with getting Butler’s and Annie Sugden’s land from Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) and the Sugden siblings, but didn’t do a very good job at first.
After spotting Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) cover up John Sugden’s (Oliver Farnworth) murder at the start of 2026, Joe then found evidence at Celia Daniels’ (Jaye Griffiths) farm that proved she had been hiring illegal immigrants.
Realising he had an awful lot of power in his hands, Joe told the Sugden siblings to sell their farmland to him because if not, he’d tell the police about Vic killing John.
He then got Robert to plant the ID cards from Celia’s in Moira’s house, knowing she’d get arrested and he could swoop in and take Butler’s from her.

Suspicious about Joe’s conversation with Robert, Graham wasted no time in confronting him at Home Farm that evening.
