BREAKING NEWS!!! EastEnders confirms life-changing Nugget story after terrifying health scare

EastEnders has confirmed a life-changing story for Davinder ‘Nugget’ Gulati following a terrifying health scare. Viewers know that Nugget has been experiencing spells of disorientation and confusion since returning home from hospital last month.

Nugget was hospitalised after sustaining a head injury when his father, Ravi, attacked him, believing he was attacking his own late dad, Nish, after being spiked by Nicola and Harry.

In today’s episode (9 February), viewers saw Nugget experience his first seizure and a painful headache after zoning out during a driving lesson with his mother, Priya.

In tomorrow’s episode (10 February), Ravi and Priya rush Nugget to hospital, and new episodes will see Nugget diagnosed with epilepsy after undergoing testing following his recent head trauma.

In the wake of his diagnosis, Nugget will embark on “a challenging and emotional journey as he adapts to living with the condition and its impact on his daily life”.

Announcing the new epilepsy storyline involving Nugget, EastEnders confirmed that they have been working alongside the Epilepsy Society to raise awareness and ensure the story is portrayed accurately and as sensitively as possible.

Speaking about Nugget’s new plot, executive producer Ben Wadey said: “We are committed to portraying Nugget’s journey authentically and with sensitivity, so have sought advice from Epilepsy Society to ensure an accurate representation of the challenges a young person may face following their diagnosis.”

Clare Pelham, chief executive at Epilepsy Society, shared: “One in 100 people has epilepsy, yet many keep it hidden because of stigma. That’s why we were delighted when EastEnders asked for our advice on portraying Nugget’s epilepsy story accurately.

EastEnders has a powerful record of tackling tough issues. By showing what seizures are really like and how to support someone with epilepsy, Nugget’s story can spark conversations, reduce stigma, and help bring the condition out of the shadows.”

Speaking recently about how Ravi will react to his son’s diagnosis, our insider said: “Ravi’s violent act, after being spiked, left Nugget in a coma with swelling on the brain. He is forced to consider that he may have caused his own son to develop a lifelong condition, and is totally devastated.”

Meanwhile on the Square, Ravi is also facing suspicion from Mark over his secret role as a police informant.
