Biggest bombshe!! Coronation Street confirms Maggie’s next target – with tensions at The Rovers
Coronation Street schemer Maggie Driscoll meddles in Lauren Bolton’s love life next week, as she tries to scupper her budding relationship with Ollie.
Having caught each other’s eye at work, Lauren and Ollie are in the early stages of a sweet romance, which isn’t going down well with Maggie.
In fact, Maggie is so determined to keep the lovebirds apart that she uses the Rovers rota to stop Lauren from making it to her upcoming date…
“Maggie is unashamedly nasty,” reveals our Corrie source. “She tells Ben and Eva that she put Lauren on shift the night before so that her date with Ollie wouldn’t happen.
“It’s a calculated move, which begs the question – how far would Maggie go to keep Ollie from Lauren? We dread to think…”
Later in the week, Steve McDonald and Ben Driscoll enjoy a game of darts, while Lauren gets her flirt on with Ollie behind the bar. It’s all fun and games for the two youngsters, yet Maggie is clearly irritated by their closeness.
Soon, Maggie orders Lauren to stop messing about and focus on her job. Will Lauren agree to keep her head down?
“Maggie can’t bear to be around Lauren and Ollie’s flirting,” our spy continues. “It annoys her to no end, and as we know about Maggie by now, she isn’t the type to hide her true feelings.
“She takes it out on Lauren, which – understandably – breeds even more tension between the two women.”
Will Maggie succeed at driving Lauren and Ollie apart? Or will the pair make their relationship work against all odds?
Corrie bosses have revealed that Maggie is one to watch this year, as she’s sure to have strong opinions when the truth about Megan Walsh’s grooming of Will is inevitably exposed. Keen to protect her youngest grandson, how far will Maggie go?
The ITV soap is also planning to solve a mystery from late last year, when Maggie reacted strangely to a discovery in Ken Barlow’s house.
“There was a very small beat that some eagle-eyed viewers might have spotted, whereby we saw Maggie at No.1,” Corrie producer Kate Brooks explained last month.
“She looked into the cabinet and her reaction suggested that she saw something that made her feel slightly on edge or uncomfortable.
“We will reveal what that secret is in the upcoming months, but it is just the tip of the iceberg!”
