Coronation Street Jodie and Shona’s dad’s real identity revealed – and it’s not Graham
After Jodie’s claims to Shona about their dad keeping tabs on her and it being difficult living with him, fans had wondered if a recent scene revealed who her father was. During the Corriedale crossover, Emmerdale’s Graham Foster had Jodie tied up in his van.
This led to some fans wondering if he was the father of both Jodie and Shona, and this was their mystery link. But new spoilers have ruled out Graham as her father, as we finally meet him next week.
New spoilers have revealed their father, apparently called Doug, is played by actor Steve Evets. This, and the images, obviously rule out anyone else has being their father.

In scenes next week, Shona is still desperate to track down her estranged dad after Jodie’s claims. Shona believes her sibling is hiding something from her and decides to follow her.
When Jodie arrives at a psychiatric hospital, she follows her into a room where she’s faced with her dad. As Shona reacts to seeing him again after so long, Jodie is forced to explain herself.
Tearful after being caught out, Jodie introduces their confused, estranged father who is laying in the hospital bed. Jodie then tells Shona how she was left to care for him after their mother fled.
Coronation Street fans had wondered if Emmerdale character Graham Foster was the real father of Weatherfield residents Shona Platt and
Shona is stunned by her revelations, and touched by Jodie caring for their father. She assures her she’s part of the family now, amid her getting her closer to Shona’s family, including her husband David Platt.
But it seems Jodie is keen to prevent Shona from seeing her father again. When Shona suggests another visit, Jodie manipulates her into a night out instead.
So is there more to the story? It’s been reported that actor Steve will play the role of Doug for one episode currently, which will air next week as revealed in the spoilers.
But it could pave the way for a future return, which would no doubt bring drama to Jodie’s door. After all, she’s been desperate to stop Shona from finding their dad before now, so it certainly seems as though she wants to keep them apart for some reason
That said, at least we now know Graham is now Shona and Jodie’s dad. So who is he to Jodie then, and why did he kidnap her? All will be revealed very soon on the soap.
